Matthew Bryers - Head Instructor Matt Bryers is a Kobukai Ju-Jitsu Blackbelt, certified H2H Combat Instructor and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt / instructor. He has been training wrestling, submission grappling, jiu-jitsu and combat related martial arts for over 15 years. Matt has competed in many wrestling, submission grappling, and mixed martial arts fights and competitions. He made his professional MMA debut on July 18th 2009 Matt’s goals are to always try to learn and improve his jiu-jitsu, hand to hand combat, and martial arts skills. He trains regularly with his peers, students, and teachers to improve himself both as a teacher and martial artist. |

Rafael "Formiga" Barbosa - Featured BJJ Instructor Rafael has recenetly moved to Connecticut from Brazil to start teaching and competing in jiu-jitsu in the USA. He is one of the most talented and dynamic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighters in the world, Rafael will be teaching 2 days a week at our Cromwell location. The opportunity to train with Formiga is HUGE – he brings a wealth of talent, experience, and amazing technical knowledge. Rafael has won NUMEROUS titles in Brazil, we will post them soon. He also just competed in the BJJ World Championships and submitted 2 of his opponents of the way to the quarter finals, where he lost to the champion by an advantage. |

Oz Pariser - No-Gi Instructor Oz "The Wizard" Pariser is a 4-0 professional mixed martial arts fighter and a Kyokushin Karate black belt. Oz has fought all over the world including Japan and Russia in Kyokushin fights. Oz transitioned to MMA about 3 years ago when he discovered the effectiveness of jiu-jitsu and combat grappling. Oz is known as an excellent MMA ground fighter. In all of his mixed martial arts fights, Oz has finished with a submission victory. He specializes in fighting and submitting his opponent’s from the guard position. Oz is a brown belt in Kobukai Ju-Jitsu, Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a multi-time NAGA Championships grappling champion. Oz is one of the most talented and explosive grapplers in the Northeast. |

With over 15 years of practice, Luigi is a certified black belt with many titles and a lot of experience training amateur and professional fighters. |
