Jiu-Jitsu lessons at the Cage JSA in Cromwell CT are designed for one purpose in mind – to empower you with … Jiu-Jitsu.
Our approach to learning Jiu Jitsu is structured. Each BJJ lesson has a warm-up, jiu jitsu technique training, and sparring, which we call “rolling.
Many new students are intimidated when they first start learning Jiu Jitsu. They think that they are going to ‘look stupid’, that they will hold the Jiu Jitsu class back, or that they won’t be able to perform the BJJ techniques.
If you are one of these people, you have to remember that ALL of us had to start at the beginning. But, that doesn’t mean that you need to feel out of place during your first Jiu Jitsu lessons. Our goal at the Cage JSA in CT is to give you the path to becoming a proficient jiu jitsu martial artist… and that starts off with a solid structure for learning Jiu Jitsu.
This structure begins with our Jiu Jitsu Intro Lessons. During your first BJJ intro lessons, you will learn the basic concepts of Jiu-Jitsu, basic techniques, as well as an opportunity to meet and train with other Jiu-Jitsu students. Don’t worry, you won’t be sparring in your first, or even second class; but when it does come time to roll for the first time, you will train BJJ with one of our senior students or Jiu Jitsu instructors who will basically teach you to kick their ass 🙂
Learning Jiu-Jitsu is one of the best things you could ever do for yourself. Not only will you learn valuable self defense skills, get in great shape, become part of a community who cares for your well-being, but most importantly, you will learn a lot about yourself and how you can become a stronger and more powerful version of yourself.
We offer a 1-week free trial to let you experience Jiu-Jitsu with our BJJ Intro Lessons.
